Credits

Credits, written cr, are what runs are paid in. The workspace holds the balance, and every run in the workspace draws from it.

Agent runs from the marketplace

  • A run that fails is not charged. Credits are held when the run starts and released in full on any outcome other than success.
  • A run you cancel is not charged either. Cancelling releases the whole hold, including the steps that had already finished.
  • You are charged once, when a run succeeds. The hold becomes the charge; a retried delivery of the same run cannot double-charge it.
  • Credits are held, not spent, while a run is in flight. The held amount is unavailable to other runs until the run reaches a result.
  • A monthly spend cap stops a run before it starts. Set one per workspace or per member in Billing; a run that would cross it is refused rather than charged.
  • Some agents pass through an external provider fee. Where they do, the agent’s own page states it before you run it. It is not included in the agent’s per-run price.

These are the same rules the pricing page shows.

Magic runs

Magic charges for each completed step, so its rules differ from agent runs.

  • Nothing is charged while a Magic plan waits for your approval.
  • When some steps of a Magic run fail, only the completed steps are charged.
  • A cancelled Magic run is charged for completed steps only.
  • A Magic run that reaches your budget cap is not charged for the credits it did not use.
  • If a Magic plan cannot be validated, no step runs and nothing is charged.
  • Retrying the failed steps of a Magic run does not charge the completed steps again.

The Billing page

The Billing page has these sections, in this order:

  1. Balance
  2. Plan
  3. Spend controls
  4. Billing details
  5. Top-up
  6. Promo code
  7. Transactions
  8. Creator payout, for creator accounts only

Invoices

An invoice opens from the transaction that caused it. A tax (GST) invoice needs a GSTIN in your billing details and a real charge on the transaction. Credits granted without a payment get a plain invoice with no tax lines.

Not enough credits

On an agent page, Run agent opens the top-up. A Magic plan shows Add credits · 4 cr short in place of its run button. The API answers 402, and the reference says: Buy credits, then retry with the same idempotency key.
