Create an agent

You do not need a creator account to build an agent. Create Agent opens the builder, which shows one agent two ways: Form and Manifest.

Become a creator

The Developer Portal, Deploy and Revenue appear in your navigation only for creator accounts. To become one, open Become a creator. Fill in Name you publish under, optionally One line about you, and choose whether to turn on Give me a public creator page, which starts off.

Save and start building saves the profile and opens the builder. After that the developer tools appear in your navigation. Each agent is still reviewed before it is listed (next section).

Publish checklist

The builder shows a publish checklist. Submit for review appears once every item is complete. Until then the checklist shows Go to the first gap, which takes you to the first item still open. A submitted agent is reviewed by the platform team before it is listed in the marketplace.

Deploy from code

Creator accounts (become a creator) can deploy an agent from code with Deploy in the Developer Portal. It has five phases, and nothing is created until the last one:

  1. Analyse This reads your codebase and reports what it found. Nothing is created yet.
  2. Configure This decides what buyers see and what the agent costs to run.
  3. Secrets This decides which credentials the agent runs with.
  4. Preview This is everything the deploy will do, before it does any of it.
  5. Deploy The agent exists. This is where it lives.

Where code agents run

A code agent runs in a container created for the run and removed when the run ends. The container does not inherit the platform’s environment, and variables whose names look like secrets are removed before it starts. By default it has no network access.

Earnings

Creator accounts see Revenue in the Developer Portal. The creator payout section of the Billing page is shown to creator accounts only.
